A Christmas of Giving

In lieu of holiday gifts and on behalf of its tenants and valued business partners Welton chose to make donations to local charities this 2015 holiday season. Organizations were selected based on the programs offered and the impact they have on the community.

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services offers crisis intervention and community education/prevention programs, including a 24-hour Help Line, programming for children from violent homes, legal advocacy, support groups, emergency safety planning and the only domestic violence shelter for all of Dane County.

habitat for humanity of dane county

Habitat for Humanity of Dane County “is a Hand Up not a Hand Out.” Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the partner families. Habitat homes are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build more Habitat houses.

Porchlight, Inc. strives to decrease the homeless population by providing shelter, housing, supportive services and a sense of community in ways that empower residents and program participants to positively shape their lives.

Second HarvestSecond Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin is a hunger-relief charity whose goal is to make sure everyone in southwestern Wisconsin has enough of the right kinds of food to live a happy and healthy life.
